Omeo Holiday Park
Park features
Omeo Holiday Park has the best of both worlds on offer. Located in an alpine town on the edge of the East Gippsland region that provides a remarkable contrast of serenity and adventure, it’s the perfect base to explore Victoria’s high country.
The park is situated alongside two kilometres of Livingstone Creek, with a plethora of powered and unpowered sites to park your caravan, campervan, motorhome, or tent. There’s also the option to book your own ready-to-go tent, complete with a comfy bed, camp chairs, and a fire pot.
Your stay is bound to be a comfy one with the park’s great facilities. Enjoy a hot shower in the amenities blocks, then stay warm around an open fire with marshmallows in hand. There’s a kitchen and BBQs to cook up a camp feast, plus a games room to enjoy some light-hearted competition amongst friends. The park also has laundry facilities to keep your gear clean and dry.
There is a short path leading from the park to the historic gold mining township of Omeo, where you can find heritage buildings against a picturesque alpine backdrop. Along with your trip necessities like a supermarket and visitor centre, there are charming shops and eateries set amongst historic buildings like the post office and bank. Grab a homemade pie from the bakeries, say ‘cheers’ over a pint at the pub, and admire exquisite craftmanship at the iconic Omeo German Cuckoo Clock Shop.
This small town is a gateway to a range of adventures. Join a white-water rafting experience on the Mitta Mitta river, or head up to the Mount Hotham ski fields just 35 kilometres away (make sure to stop at the town’s ski shop beforehand). Golfers can hit the green at the nearby course, and there’s bushwalking trails for all ages. Drive or ride the Great Alpine Road for a stunning view of the region’s spectacular scenery. Above all, do not leave your mountain bike at home; Omeo is home to world-class mountain biking facilities. With more than 100 kilometres’ worth of trails and spectacular pump and skills tracks for beginners and experts alike, it’s an unmissable activity.
With something for everyone to enjoy, Omeo Holiday Park is the natural choice for your next holiday.
